Monday, May 14, 2007 Argh..It was a mad house just now! Mother's Day just passed uneventfully for my family, but it wasn't so at PH just now.. It was busy during morning - it was a full mad house..Even when I reached at 5, the washings were still alot..The mini wash area at the bar was slowly piling up as well, as if waiting for the right time to suddenly become a wash disaster zone..Yeah, the time came..I didn't even had time to set all the tables, which, some are not set and some only partially set with plates..So then they started coming in..And in..And in.. Then the next thing I know, I have 3 tables to key in at one go, together with serving their bowls and drinks..It comes until at one point, I have 6 tables for me to key in their orders simultaneously then serve their drinks and bowls.. It really was a mad house, what with the dine-in, the delivery, the takeaways..The takeaways! And pick-ups! My god.. For one thing it wasn't exactly a public holiday (they should make it a public holiday, together with a Monday since Mother's Day falls on Sundays)..And another thing we were short of staffs!! So ya..There were 3 of us working our ass off, me & Aida on the floor while Darin handled the damn-busy-as-well takeaways, pick-ups and cash-outs..It wasn't enough..Luckily, Fatin & Filz stayed to help until the commotion is down..Which wasn't till a good half an hour away from 10.. Luckily, most of the customers were understanding enough..MOST..Some others were just tad bit away from blowing up at us..Then there were one (for most of us) who blew up at us..And another who blew up at me.. One, I'm not mad that they are mad..They have every right to..BUT..One thing that ticked me bloody off..It was one comment they made.. "It's not even busy!" In my mind I was like..WTF???!!! I was even running to get to one side to another..ANd they got the cheek to say it wasn't busy?????? Hello? There was only like, 3 staffs..2 actually, cuz one is specially dealing with the takeaways etc..And it was full house!! Hmm..There were like, 27 tables and approximately times 2 each for the number of people and voila~..And that was only when they weren't coming and going.. Haiz.. Dunno la ehks.. Then at 9 there was me and Darin..We finished at 1, with Shah's help with the wash and Fan's help with other stuff..Wow..1 sey..Though I am not feeling really tired right now..hehe..Oh well..Either I'm mad or Kratin really works..Lols..
